FOKUS Automic User Group Spring 2026

58th FOKUS Conference – Hannover, May 18–19, 2026

The german-speaking Automic community is meeting again. On May 18–19, 2026, the 58th FOKUS Conference brings users, partners, and experts together in Hannover to exchange experiences around Workload Automation and the Automic ecosystem. After more than five decades of consistent community work, the conference has established itself as the central meeting point for everyone who runs, builds, or relies on Automic in the DACH region – and the 58th edition continues that tradition with a packed two-day programme of sessions, discussions, and informal exchange.

What is the FOKUS Conference?

The FOKUS e.V. is the long-standing user association for Automic Automation (formerly UC4) in the DACH region, representing more than 80 member companies from Germany, Switzerland, and Liechtenstein. Twice a year, practitioners come together at the FOKUS Conference to share real-world project experiences, discuss current challenges, and get a first-hand look at product direction and roadmap. Unlike vendor-led events, FOKUS is driven by the community itself – which is exactly what makes the exchange so honest, practical, and valuable.

What sets FOKUS apart is the balance between formal content and informal dialogue. Sessions are typically delivered by practitioners rather than marketing teams, which means the stories you hear are grounded in production environments, including the things that didn’t work the first time. Broadcom product management and engineering are regularly on-site as well, so questions around the roadmap, open issues, or feature requests can be discussed directly with the people who own them. For many attendees, the hallway conversations and the evening social programme are just as valuable as the agenda itself.

The 58th edition takes place at the Congress Hotel am Stadtpark Hannover and the adjacent Hannover Congress Centrum (HCC) – a well-established venue that offers the right mix of conference atmosphere and space for informal conversations between sessions. Both locations are directly connected, making it easy to move between talks, breakout discussions, and the social programme without losing momentum.

Why attend?

Over two days, you can expect:

  • Best practices from real projects – how organizations optimize workflows, improve stability, and scale their automation environments across hybrid and cloud landscapes
  • Product updates & roadmap insights – the latest developments in Automic Automation and the broader Workload Automation landscape, including upcoming releases and strategic direction from Broadcom
  • Direct community exchange – peer conversations with users, partners, vendors, and experts who are working on the same challenges you are
  • Actionable takeaways – practical tips, quick wins, and optimization strategies you can apply directly in your environment on Monday morning

Topics that typically come up across the sessions include upgrade and migration strategies, high availability and disaster recovery setups, integration with modern DevOps toolchains, observability and monitoring of automation workflows, security and compliance, and how teams are positioning Workload Automation in increasingly hybrid landscapes. The agenda reflects what the community is actually working on – not a theoretical list of buzzwords.

Who should attend?

The FOKUS Conference is particularly relevant for IT leaders, architects, and platform teams working with Workload Automation, as well as Automic administrators, operators, and DevOps teams. Organizations planning upgrades, migrations, or looking to raise their automation maturity will find the two days especially valuable. Whether you are running a small, focused Automic setup or operating thousands of jobs across multiple sites, there are peers at FOKUS dealing with comparable challenges – and usually someone who has already solved the exact problem you are working on.

The conference is also a good opportunity for teams that are evaluating their current automation strategy or considering broader modernization. Talking to long-term Automic users about how their environments have evolved, what scaled well, and what they would do differently today is often more useful than any vendor whitepaper.
